Farewell, Dulari

It’s been an incredible privilege to have spent 9 years (and in a few months, 10 summers) strengthening and expanding our “students teaching students” model. I have cherished all the relationships I’ve built across the Wheeler and Breakthrough communities and will carry with me so many amazing memories. I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished as an organization for the young people of Providence. We’ve not only filled a void by offering fun and rigorous academic and leadership programming during the summer and after school hours, but we’ve also pushed the boundaries of what teaching and learning can look like, modeling for others that teaching can and should be a creative and inspiring endeavor and that learning can and should be filled with curiosity and collaboration. While I do not yet know what my next professional steps are, I do know that I’ve learned so much from my Breakthrough Providence community. Thank you to everyone who has supported me in this journey!
